The Field Service Technician (FST) provides on-site repair and preventative maintenance services to customers owning Integra medical equipment, including Third Party equipment. Travel up to 85% is required throughout the designated geographic area. In addition, the FST will provide coverage for other areas for vacation relief and back up duties as required.

  • Provide repair and preventative maintenance service for Integra & OSI equipment at customer site.

  • Provide quotes and pricing.

  • Become and remain proficient in all user and service manuals, company procedures and work instructions.

  • Work closely with sales personnel to communicate customer service needs, technical information, and other information as requested.

  • Provide technical service and support to internal and external customers.

  • Maintain and keep accurate inventory of all parts assigned. Request parts as needed through the Repair and Service Supervisor and Materials Coordinator.

  • Always apply Good Documentation Practices. Submit only legible and accurate Service Records. Obtain customer signature and purchase orders as required.

  • Provide technical support to Integra employees and customers.

  • Always present a professional image.

  • Liaise with other departments/personnel as required.

  • Comply with company procedures, policies, and guidelines.

  • Comply with customer policies and procedures.

  • Assist with the development & delivery of technical training as required.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

  • Work with fellow team members to communicate common concerns and problems.

Qualification:

  • 2-year degree in electrical engineering, electronics technology, biomed certification or a closely related field.

  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a Field/Service/Repair capacity.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience will include customer contact, hands-on electronic equipment installation, repair, services, and technician training.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude

  • Good communication skills – verbal & written

  • Solid computer skills; Oracle skills a plus

  • Experience in the medical field a plus

  • Knowledge in medical device repair and service of electronic equipment.

  • Knowledge in ESD principles and practices

  • Working knowledge of Quality System Regulations

  • Knowledge of ISO standards, knowledge of reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated & team player.

  • Ability to deal effectively with the multiple activity requests and emergencies.

  • Ability to effectively maintain professional, proactive customer relationships, ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and decision making, ability to follow or give verbal and written instructions.
