SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Support all inspection activities including incoming, in-process and final inspections to ensure final product and documentation meet all company and customer requirements.

This is not a Supervisory role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Describe the essential responsibilities that the employee must be able to satisfactorily perform in order to succeed in the role.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Primary responsibilities are to:

• Use an Optical Comparator for measurement of parts and characteristics.

• Use video measurement equipment to measure part dimensions.

• Understand and perform to all current quality standards.

• Prepare and update Company and Customer inspection records as required.

• Communicate inspection results effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

• Use basic statistical techniques for evaluation of measurement data and trending including SPC and process Capability.

• Accurately completes all required electronic transaction and paperwork.

• Utilize various measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gages and other handheld measuring devices for open set ups

• Prepare and update Company and Customer inspection records as required.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum required education and experience: High School Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience

• Requires attention to detail and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

• Previous experience in manufacturing environment and quality background

• 5 plus years’ experience preferred

Micrometer, Optical comparator, gages, Hypot tester, Hight gage

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, color, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
