Job Description Summary
The incumbent is responsible for providing the support required to process, monitor, compile microbiological and analytical test results data. Assist in the review and periodic update of the laboratory’s data to track progress and trends. Received Samples and organized the Sample Control Room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Inputs analytical data into the Laboratory Sample database.
Assists in the review and periodic update of the laboratory’s data to track progress and trends.
Provides support to process, monitor, and compile microbiological/analytical test results data.
Assures all trending and statistical graphs performed are correct and applied accordingly.
Generates trends for Microbiology analysis data such as: waters, Bioburden Tests, Bacterial Endotoxin Tests to establish trending and evaluate established limits as per correspondent SOP’s.
Generates trends for Analytical test data such as: shrink, sodium chloride, formaldehyde, imbibition, wetting time, thickness, among others as per correspondent SOP’s.
Interprets Microbiological/Analytical data to identify trends and issues that require investigation as per correspondent SOP’s.
Notifies Supervisor of any change of trending or action limits obtained from the data.
Maintains inventory for reagents and laboratory supplies. Provides trending results for laboratory investigations.
Provides Support during internal and external audits.
Receives Samples and assures organization of the Sample Control Room.
Logs in laboratory samples and identifies related tracking.
May perform any other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
Medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
Knowledge and exposure using statistical techniques.
Knowledge and experience using relational database and business software such as: Word, Excel, Power Point and Mini-Tab program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
